Pay it forward...show compassion

I'll bet there is someone who you will connect with today who could use a little compassion. I had an interaction with a person last week that I am not proud of. I took out some frustration that had been building on someone who did not deserve my frustration. Since that happened, I have been considering finding that person on the telephone that I was not very nice to and apologize. Alas, she turns out to be one of many many call operators and I have been unable to locate her.

So today - I am on a mission to be compassionate and pay it forward. I can't make up for that bad interaction last week - but I can certainly be kind and show compassion to everyone I come in contact with. I am skipping ahead a few days because it is fitting for us to be thinking about giving our gift of friendship. Thanksgiving is coming up in the United States and the "holiday" season is right on the heels of Thanksgiving and the stress is already building. This is supposed to be a time of THANKS and caring and for some reason has been morphed into something else...let's take back the season of friendship, caring and thanksgiving and simply give our own friendship to someone who may desperately need that more than any other gift we can buy. The angst is palatable, the stress is building and we can take charge and reduce that pain by reaching out. Just be a friend. Give your gift of friendship today.
