The Best High School Graduation Party Idea...Ever!

This t-shirt quilt was one of my daughter's favorite
graduation gifts (made by my other daughter), but it was a
simple activity at her graduation party that impacted her
for months after the party was over.
The best high school graduation party idea ever!

Last year was my final year to host a high school graduation party and wouldn’t you know…that the best idea for any high school graduation party came to me then. I filed it away waiting for the perfect time to share it with others and today that event happened while I was dropping off some work to a colleague. I am so glad that the administrative secretary shared with me that she is preparing for her final high school graduation party so that I could be reminded of this fantastic, simple and really super-impacting idea for all involved. Are you ready? It is so fun and easy that you will be amazed that you hadn’t thought of it sooner…here goes…

At your child’s graduation party place 3 – 4 baskets filled with paper, markers, glitter glue, fun stuff and large 5” x 8” envelopes all around. And print these instructions to leave at each of the baskets:

“Please make a card that is filled with a memory, special event, fond story that you have to share with ____ (your child’s name). Sign the card, but not the envelope, put the filled envelope into this basket and over the next year, (whether at college, in the service, moving into the workforce (use whichever situation applies to your child) I will randomly select 5 – 10 envelopes filled with your well-wishes, stories and memories and send them to _____ (your child’s name).”

Not only will your guests have a great time doing this, your child will have all of that care and kindness and love extended out over an entire transitional year. Super fun! Super easy! Just super all around!

From my table to yours…enjoy!
